Student Leadership: My role as a member of the Church

I am currently enrolled in a Student Leadership class. We had to pick a leadership role in our lives and will continue to discover more and more about how we can improve our leadership skills in that setting.

The role I am choosing to focus on is my role as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I feel that this is a role I would like to improve upon, since it is a role I will be acting in for the rest of my life. Currently, I am serving as the Relief Society president in my ward, which gives me an automatic opportunity to be a leader in the ward, but I think there are leadership opportunities in every capacity as a member of the Church, no matter what calling you hold. Through this class, I would like to increase my ability to be a leader in the Church and improve the way in which I lead others within the Church as well as outside of a church setting.

That’s all for now,

–Kelsey

Fantastic choice, Kelsey! I love the creativity and the fact that you’ll be able to directly apply what you learn for the rest of your life. I’m excited to hear about what you learn!
