I watched Heima for the second time today. Yet again, I am overcome with a desire to be a better person.
It’s not about who you are: your fame and your name are unimportant. It’s about what you choose to do for other people. That is where you will really make a difference, whether you’re famous and influential or just a regular person. Ordinary people can do extraordinary things.
Be a beautiful person. I don’t mean outward beauty. I’m talking about your intentions and your soul and your desires and your actions. Aspire to do beautiful things. Care about people. Serve people. There really is nothing better.
I want to do things that I love. I want those things to help others. I want to be the kind of person that others can turn to when they need a hand. I want to care about everyone. I want to learn to speak the languages of others — both the spoken and the unspoken. I want to be better tomorrow than I am today.
